Grant Recipients Announced

We would like to extend hearty congratulations to the following organizations in Minnesota who will be the recipients of Recycle MORE Minnesota pop bottle-shaped bins to use in their away-from-home recycling programs:

• Grant County DAC received 15 bins to use at gas stations.

• Redwood County received 15 bins to use at gas stations.

• Chisago County Schools received 10 bins to place in local schools.

• Crow Wing County received 10 bins to use at the Brainerd International Raceway.

• Itasca Community College received 10 bins to place throughout campus.

• Wrenshall School received 5 bins to place in their lobby, cafeteria, commons and gymnasium area.

• St. Louis County received 5 bins for their county fair and other events throughout the year.

• City of Red Wing received 10 bins for their local high school, hockey arena, football field and track, gymnasium, athletic field, and around downtown during festivals and events.

• Brown County received 20 bins to be placed in parks and recreational areas year round.

We were excited to have so many great projects apply for our first-ever bin grant – we received nearly 40 grant applications, requesting over 550 bins in total. Unfortunately, we couldn’t accommodate everyone’s requests, but it’s good to know that so many people and organizations in Minnesota want to do the right thing.

We hope to have more opportunities in the future, so please continue to check our website, www.recyclemoreminnesota.org for up to date information about recycling in Minnesota.
